After 10 years of much appreciated engagement as a member of the Halton-Hamilton Source Protection Committee repsresenting agricultural interests, Nick DiGirolamo is stepping down. O.Reg. 288/07 under the Clean Water Act requires that the SPC membership be reinvigorated on a regular basis. As such, the Source Protection Authorities have put in place a membership renewal schedule, with staggered expiry dates to ensure there is knowledge transfer and a consistency in approach to the planning process. Nick's position is the first to be renewed.
Joining the committee is Bert Andrews, a long time agricultural business owner in Halton Region. The appointment of Mr. Andrews was endorsed by Halton Region Federation of Agriculture as they said "Mr. Andrews will provide valuable input for the agriculture sector on this committee".
